Iron Hollow is a Victorian Gothic Romance, designed and illustrated by Nicolai Aaroe, telling the tragic lovestory of twelve central characters, all inspired by gothic folklore and legends. It is an illustrative storytelling and a luxurious set of playing cards all at once. This project is the next volume in the Trials playing cards series, and as such carry the same overall artistic style and idea as the Vengeance of Witches playing cards do.

Iron Hollow feature two editions, which are both manufactured with a matte, black stock, two metal foils, intricate embossing on all sides and completely unique tuck cases adorned with dark elegance.

The Scarlet tuck is an artistic representation of a dark mansion with red silk curtains and the romance and horrors that unfolds behind them. It is manufactured with red and silver foil, strategically embossed on a matte, black stock.

Scarlet had vowed to love Galen in sickness and in health, but what of the monstrous curse that twisted his once-gentle hands into claws? At first, they concealed it – excuses of illness, locked doors at dusk. But as the moons waxed, so did his primal nature. Their gilded estate became a prison of terror; servants fled, mirrors shattered in his rages. They had tried everything – locks, potions, prayers whispered into the cold. They had even bound Galen in iron chains, thick and unyielding. So, with her father’s solemn blessing, a plan was forged.
