RuYi (如意) signifies harmony between intention and outcome — a state where things unfold in quiet accordance with order.
In traditional and visual language, blue reflects the calm and orderly mindset that Ruyi embodies.
The front of the tuck features a Liao Dynasty painted wooden statue of the Water-Moon Guanyin, nearly a thousand years old, with a serene expression reflecting the solemnity and compassion of ancient temples.
Reimagined with cold-foil accents, Guanyin becomes a gilded figure, a guardian tempered by time. Her robes are decorated with Buddhist motifs and vermilion patterns, while the worn wooden texture conveys the mercy of the ages.
Precious relics from the Shang, Zhou, Sui, and Tang dynasties converge here, spanning millennia. Subjects range from mythical dragons and ritual vessels to Buddhist statues and camel figurines, presenting a diverse yet coherent vision of civilization.
With holo foil, the patterns, gestures, and light of each relic come alive, showcasing the richness and unique charm of ancient Chinese art.
