The theme this time is Love and Pain.
Since ancient times, people have always used flowers to express love.But Epiphyllum is a flower that only blooms at night.
Its bloom is extremely short, yet breathtakingly beautiful.There is a Chinese idiom, “a flash in the pan” (昙花一现), describing something brief but brilliant.
In life or in relationships, we often meet someone —as fleeting as the Epiphyllum, yet so beautiful that we cannot look away.Just like fireworks.That is perhaps the beauty of this flower.I wanted to capture this feeling and emotion.
The Box
The box uses red matte cardstock.This is not a bright, vivid red — we chose a deeper, darker shade.
The pattern on the box features a special technique: embossing.The factory created a 3D metal mold from our design,then pressed it into the paper, breaking the limits of a flat box to create a three-dimensional effect.
The Cards
The back design pays tribute to our first generation -same style, but every detail has been completely redrawn for more depth.
We used cold foil stamping on the card backs, precisely aligning with the flower lines to enhance and brighten every detail.
Every card face has also been completely redesigned — all 56 cards.
You can see from the photos:every detail, every line, took a huge amount of time.
