The deck honors the life of Gary Don Kriegshauser, aka “POPS” to his friends and family. Pops was a rancher and business owner in the panhandle of Texas. The deck also embodies the spirit of West Texas and the hard-working families that are its heart.
Pop’s ranch was called the Seven-Up Ranch, and the brand can be seen featured in the background of the cards.
The two jokers represent two important elements of Pops’ life. The Bovine specimen is a Limousine Cow, Limousine cattle was Pops’ favorite type of beef livestock to raise. The chuckwagon is an illustration of Pops’ very own chuckwagon that he would take out frequently at sunrise with friends and family, and cook them sunrise breakfasts on the open range.
