SPQR tuck seals display are designed with inspiration from roman banners.
A 1-way design with elegant gold-gilded edges. The number cards feature 36 mini illustrations to highlight some of the rural and urban Roman inventions that transformed ancient society and laid foundations for modern infrastructure, engineering, and agriculture. The combination of technological ingenuity and centralized governance allowed Rome to bring advanced infrastructure not only to its cities, but also deep into its rural provinces – many of these inventions continue to influence our world today. These include aqueducts, concrete (opus caementicium), road networks, sewers and sanitation systems, apartment buildings (insulae), central heating (hypocaust system), villa system (rural estates), irrigation and water management, crop rotation, terracing, animal-powered mills and plows, wine and olive presses, storage infrastructure (dolium, granaries), surveying tools (e.g., groma, chorobates), urban planning (grid systems, public spaces), postal system (Cursus Publicus).
The Legatum edition card backs feature the iconic roman eagle in a golden wreath and a very ornate 1-way design as seen here above. The colors are slightly washed out to match the historical aesthetics of the court illustrations. The design is inspired by real art, tapestry and designs from the time period of the Roman Empire.
