From his graffiti art of the ‘70s and ‘80s to a multitude of groundbreaking album covers as the founding Creative Director for Def Jam, Cey Adams defined Hip-Hop design for four decades. But before that, he was (and is) a true Hot Wheels fanatic.
To celebrate his retrospective show in Boston and his one-of-a-kind Hot Wheels sculpture, we’re showing Cey some love and debuting the Cey Adams x Hot Wheels “LOVE” ‘70s Van die-cast.
The ‘70s Van reminded Cey of the airbrushed and graffiti-adorned vans from his youth. This limited-edition Cey Adams “LOVE” Van comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and limited-edition packaging design to celebrate the mutual love we have for each other.
Cey Adams had a starring role in developing the visual language of American Hip-Hop; his album art for Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, DMX, and Jay-Z is iconic. But before all the fame, Cey was an avid Hot Wheels collector and fan.
