Patternwork is my attempt at William Morris meets Japanese woodblock print. Strongly inspired by both, it explores intricate patterning of Japanese flowers and insects to hum with nature. The dyed versions each have unique and intricate edge printing.

First funded on Kickstarter, this project was a ‘Project We Love’ and part of the year leading to the ‘Diamond Awards Artist of the Year 2025’. Through the project, we adopted a Hairy-footed Flower Bee, helped seed 50m2 of wildflower meadows and more. The 100% paper cards are made from sustainable forest sources and special soy ink was used. Packaging makes use of recycled and recyclable materials as well as bubble wrapping made locally from sugar cane.

What’s more, a portion of all profit was donated to ARK, a charity that helps rescue, care for, foster and rehouse abandoned and displaced animals across Japan.
